And a special conference map (154ko heavy)

Touristicals and Generals informations
The town of Macerata is in the italian district of " Marches"

The district of Marches (in french)
All on tourisme in Marches
"the complete tourism & travel guide to the Marche region in Italy"
Macerata according to " MarcheVoyager"

To arrive to Macerata

The nearest airport, is Ancona's one. On it's website you can find all airlines companies whoth desserve this airport, and in particular, Alitalia (from Roma and from Milano) ans Lufthansa (from München), and, also, the "low-cost"companies, as Ryannair (From London-Stansted) and Evolia-Axis (From Paris CDG from Palermo and from Barcelona).
After, you have to join Macerata by train (Castelferretti's station) or by bus + train via Ancona or in rent a car [around one or two hours trip according to the means of transport you choose].

It can be judicious to land on an airport more attended. That of Rome enables you to visit Rome, but the connection by train is painful because the Abruzzi should be crossed; But why not Milano or Verona?

Train ... You can visite the italian rail road site ; or the french one (SNCF,) but the better is the german one"Deusche Bahn
In car, you'll need roads maps (cf. supra) and the italian highway website

You can also come by boat with the Ancona port (from Balkaniks, from Grece, and from et de Grèce, mais aussi de Venice!)

Accomodations (Locate the places on the special conference map)

You can initially trust our local tourism agency
6 hostels at Macerata include 4 with a website, and 4 B&B and 2 "Agriturismo"
1 hostel on the online reservation Venere's website

You can also have an accomodation around Macerata, but, you might have a car... The better way is "agritourismo" with sometimes princely residences , but often rurals, in which you can saty for one (little) week (another constraint which can be raised at this beginning of season).
